Alteration Specialist
- Make custom made-to-measure garments and design patterns to fit measurements for garments including, but not limited to, suits, blouses, jackets, dress shirts, dresses and pants
- Mark, cut and sew fabric
- Alterations and repairs for everyday wear garments and specialty garments such as formal dresses
- Sewing tasks such as hand embroideries, hand sewing bead/sequences, designing, sketching, making layouts
- Minimum of 3 years of direct experience required
- Completion of college, vocational or technical training in tailoring or dressmaking required
- Ability to sew, style and fit garments
- Must be patient and able to work efficiently using industrial machines
- Knowledge of invisible mending and hand sew is preferred
- Ability to work afternoons, evenings and weekends required
- Specialization in suits, dress shirts OR formal dresses is an asset
- Minimal English required
